Social Service Guild
In order to help poor, needy and deserving students, the college has a Social Guild named Social Service Guild, Government Womens’ College, Puri which gives them financial assistance for prosecution of their studies. The lecturer-in-charge nominated by the Principal will provide the necessary guidance. in this Committee, a senior Lecturer is the Convenor and others assist him/her.
- All the students of the college shall be members of the Social Service Guild.
- Every student of the college shall have to pay at the beginning of each year a sum of Rs.2/- (Rupees Two) in the college office as subscription.
- The Social Service Guild of the college shall be managed by a committee consisting of the following members :
(a) President – Principal (ex-officio);
(b) Vice – Prisident (s) – To be nominated by the Principal from among the members of the teaching staff;
(c) Secretary – To be elected from among the students of the college.
(d) Assistant Secretary – To be elected from among the students of first year class;
(e) Class Representatives – There shall be one class representative from each class. - In the beginning of each session election shall be held to the post of Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Class Representative at the time of the College election.
- The Committee should perform the following duties :
(a) To render social service during natural and national calamities,
(b) To organise Blood, Eye and Kidney donation camps. - Three fourth of the fund collected annually shall be spent in providing financial assistance to the needy and deserving students of the college.
